About Petidoux

A boy in blue anchor-print Petidoux pajamas imagining adventures with a red sailboat

Little pajamas. Big dreams.

SMALL. SOFT. FULL OF IMAGINATION.

A little world of softness.

Petidoux [peh-TEE-doo]

A name made from two French words: petit, small, and doux, soft.
A little name for the comfort, tenderness, and imagination of childhood.

A mother's idea. A child's world.

Petidoux began in 2013, when Alexandra discovered Peruvian Pima cotton pajamas for her two young sons. Their softness inspired her to create a collection of her own, bringing together a love of textiles and the playful world of childhood.

That love of making began much earlier, knitting and sewing beside her grandmother, Mémé Joséphine. It is a thread that runs through Petidoux: an affection for beautiful materials and things made with care.

Every print begins with a drawing.

A pen, a sheet of paper, a little imagination. Our earliest prints grew from the toys and dreams of Alexandra's boys: vintage cars, penguins, teddy bears, and spaceships.

French-inspired and designed in New York, our pajamas carry that same playful spirit into bedtime.

Softness you can feel.

Made in Lima, Peru, our pajamas begin with Peruvian Pima cotton, chosen for its long, fine fibers and beautifully smooth feel. Thoughtful details, from soft cuffs to printed labels, keep comfort close to the skin.

For their little moments. And yours.

Sleepy cuddles, favorite stories, slow mornings together. These are the moments we have in mind when we create Petidoux.

Bonne nuit, les petits.
