“Made in Peru” Bienvenidos!

Last month our Account Manager  Marianne traveled to Lima to work with our manufacturing managers on the production of our new and fun collection… who is ready for some snowflakes and candy canes?

Marianne came back with both great news and delicious recommendations for our food loving friends, which I wish to share with you all... Enjoy!

Dear all,

Speaking of sweet treats  would like to share a little bit more about my trip and this beautiful country not only known for their softness Pima cotton but also for their delicious food!

My favorite places for local sweets

On my way to the hotel I had to stop by Lucio Caffe and try their famous little cheesecakes called “chiskeikitos” , one of my favorites made of Chicha Morada (Peruvian beverage made of purple corn) on a fun presentation that your little ones will love!

Another great recommendation would be to try their delicious "tostadas francesas" (aka french toasts).

But if we dont want to break our diet (hard to say no) they also have plenty of variety of great sandwiches and salads. Excellent service as usual!

I will also recommend a perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience at “Astrid y Gaston” located at Casa Moreyra it is an old mansion completed restore with a nice mix of antique and modern. This restaurant offers a great atmosphere with an excellent selection of gourmet Peruvian food, using excellent local ingredients.  It is also fun and instructive to watch the staff prepare the food in the open kitchen! Highly recommended.

Where to go…

After eating those delicious cheesecakes that I mentioned before I decided to go for a walk at another great place in the district of Miraflores called Larcomar this shopping center is along the cliff next to the ocean with a breathtaking view!  The entire complex is built into the cliffside where you can find restaurants, a movie theater and more more food!

Now, who is ready to plan their next vacation to this wonderful city? There is still so much to see!
